Miscellaneous

The scientist Stephen Hawking is a very intelligent man and he too believes that aliens are very real. But he believes that aliens would be more hostile than friendly; more of like a creature from the movie "Predator" - not ET. On that note, it might not be a good idea to come in contact with aliens because the outcome might be more worse than we think as Stephen Hawking said "We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn't want to meet. I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach," he said. "If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn't turn out very well for the Native Americans."

Scientists are also finding more and more planets because of the new technology we have. We found our first extra solar planet in 1992 and the astronomer Martha Haynes said "Just 18 years later astronomers are arriving at a point where the available technology combined with new search techniques is allowing astronomers to find more new planets than ever before. She adds that technology will only continue to improve and will likely see major breakthroughs in the next five to 10 years." With that said, who knows what new planet we could find in the near future that could possibly inhabit extra terrestrial life. If many very intelligent scientists and astronomers believe that there could very well be aliens out there, then why do the people who don't know half as much as them refuse to believe that aliens could exist.

One main problem that we could run into while trying to get in contact with aliens is that if their technology is 50 years ahead of ours, then we would probably have a hard time connecting. Our technology has changed significantly in the last 50 years and trying to connect two frequencies together that are 50 years apart will be quite difficult.(362)
